Many people are doing some wonderful service across the globe. I found out about one of them because she took the time to write to me.
Hello Mr. Jamal,
I am the young doctor that you met at the business centre at the Movenpick Hotel in Dar es Salaam last summer. I kept your card and have read one of your books! I didn't know you at the time, but you are quite famous!! I have worked for the last 3 years to insire people through examples in 'giving' and have found a lot of happiness. I am off to Tanzania (again) on Sunday with a group of 25 women (from all walks of life). We are participating in community outreach clinics (half of us are docs and nurses) in Moshi and the Kili area.
We are then climbing Kilimanjaro as a fundraiser for the center. The neat thing is that we are climbing with 7 Tanzanian women (4 who are clients of my women's clinic/centre) who are HIV positive. It should be quite a trip...hopefully it will inspire others.
I just wanted to let you know that I have received a lot of inspiration from your book and I am working hard to improve my life and those of others.
I hope to bring you to Kingston, Ontario, for a fundraiser for our Tanzanian women's centre at some point...I am glad to have met you that day...these things happen for a reason.
Best,
Karen
Thank you, Karen. I really admire your courage and dedication to giving. We would like to hear from others who are living the message of our book. Azim
