Why do we procrastinate? Some of the reasons why we procrastinate are:
- The task we are tackling is big, and we have not clearly broken it down. If the task was broken down into bite size action plans it would be easier to get your "teeth into it".
- We are not clear about how important the task is and how not doing it undermines our productivity and the results we desire.
- Not getting started. The best way to begin is to begin! Start it now even if it is as simple as making a call, sending an email, or faxing someone!
- Getting carried away with trivial and unnecessary things because they are easy to do.
- No clarity or focus on goals.
Procrastinating unimportant activities is wise.
Procrastinating giving and making a difference is not recommended because giving jump starts creativity, innovation and invites happiness.
Now you know what to do and what not to do!
