In this blog you will sometimes find pieces that are written by both Azim and Harvey. You'll also often find individual pieces written by just one of us. You'll see that we have different voices, different interests, and different perspectives.

We believe you will benefit from that. Here's why. One of the things we discovered while writing the book together is that we both had unique experiences and perspectives to contribute. We feel this makes The Power of Giving a much more valuable book for you.

You know, each person sees the world from their own perspective. This only makes sense. But given the problems in the world, and the desire for every human being to have security, enough food, and meaning, it's beneficial to see life and our actions from a number of perspectives. We believe this increases wisdom and compassion.

In that spirit, we welcome your ideas and feedback. We welcome your link to this site or to our blog. Or your advice on how we can make this site more useful to you or others. With your help, we’ll cover a lot of issues and look at giving in many different ways.

n this blog, we can learn together how to become more engaged and wise, and, naturally, we’ll have a few laughs along the way. Also, each week we will answer a blog reader’s question. We'll try to vary questions so that we cover a lot of the issues described in the book.

The great thing about giving is that you can give in so many ways, ways that have a lot of meaning to different people.

As we define giving, it really is a path and an attitude that makes the world a better place.
